Microsoft Windows service (EHS)

Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)

A process that is generally executed in Microsoft Windows systems without user interaction. A Windows service is therefore executed in the background, but is transparent for the user. A background process of this type can run beyond the duration of a work session and can therefore also be executed without a user being logged on. A service can be started automatically, for example, on system startup.
